- A recent study has revealed the self-cleaning mechanism of green pill millipede (Arthrosphaera lutescens), a species endemic to the Western Ghats.
- Researchers found that these millipedes, primarily located in the Munnar region of Idukki and Nelliampathy in Palakkad.
