ECINET

Election Commission of India (ECI) launched ECINET, its one-stop digital platform for all election-related information and services at the India International Conference on Democracy and Election Management (IICDEM) 2026. 

ECINET connects citizens, candidates, political parties, election officials and brings key services like voter registration, electoral roll search, Track Your Application, Know Your Candidate, Connect with Election Officials, Book-a-call with BLO, e-EPIC download, polling trends, grievance redressal, amongst others, onto one secure platform.

THE ONGOLE

SUPREME COURT LAUNCHES ‘ONE CASE ONE DATA’ AND ‘SU SAHAY’

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant on Monday (May 11, 2026) announced in open court the launch of a major digital initiative — ‘One Case One Data’ — to integrate the judicial administration at every level of courts, from the taluka court to the apex court, into a unified system.

THE WHITLEY AWARDS 

  • Subba and Shaikh won the Whitley Award for their work conserving two lesser-known species — the Himalayan salamander and Indian skimmer

They are zero-coupon securities issued at a discount, paying no interest, but providing profit through the difference between the discounted purchase price and the face value received at maturity.
