The objectives of the Scheme are to:
a. Reduce poverty of the SC communities by generation of additional employment opportunities through skill development, income generating schemes and other initiatives.
b. Improve socio-economic developmental indicators by ensuring adequate infrastructure and requisite services in the SC dominated villages.
c. Increase literacy and encourage enrolment of SCs in schools and higher educational institutions by providing adequate residential facilities in quality institutions

CENSUS 2027 [POLITY]
- Census of India is conducted under provisions of Census Act, 1948, Census Rules, 1990 as amended from time to time. The last Census of India was conducted in 2011. Census 2027 will be 16th in series and 8th since independence.

(d)alter the boundaries of any State;
(e)alter the name of any State;Provided that no Bill for the purpose shall be introduced in either House of Parliament except on the recommendation of the President and unless, where the proposal contained in the B ill affects the area, boundaries or name of any of the States , the Bill has been referred by the President to the Legislature of that State for expressing its views thereon within such period as may be specified in the reference or within such further period as the President may allow and the period so specified or allowed has expired
THE ANDHRA PRADESH REORGANISATION (AMENDMENT) BILL, 2026 [POLITY]

WOMEN’S RESERVATION BILL 2023 [THE CONSTITUTION (128TH AMENDMENT) BILL, 2023] [ POLITY]
- one-third of all seats for women in Lok Sabha, state legislative assemblies, and the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. This will also apply to the seats reserved for SCs and STs in Lok Sabha and states legislatures.
- The reservation will be effective after the census conducted after the commencement of this Bill has been published. Based on the census, delimitation will be undertaken to reserve seats for women. The reservation will be provided for a period of 15 years.
- Seats reserved for women will be rotated after each delimitation, as determined by a law made by Parliament.
